Adoration

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning is now and will be for ever.

Amen.
Alleluia.

[Silent praise and worship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in His works, actions and words]

Confession

Most merciful God, I confess to you, before the whole company of heaven and others, that I have sinned in thought, word and deed and in what I have failed to do. Forgive me my sins, heal me by your Spirit and raise me to new life in Christ. Amen.

[Silent Confession: pride, lust, envy, unjust anger, gossip, boasting in self, trusting in idols, excessive sorrow or sadness (despair), fleshliness, sins of omission (failing to pursue righteousness)]

Assurance of Pardon

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us-for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree’- so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.” – Galatians 3:13-14

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24

In Christ your sins are forgiven, your shame is covered and your dignity as a person has been restored. Amen. Alleluia.

[In silence, embrace the Father, knowing that in Christ you are fully accepted.]

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Conclusion

May Christ, who has opened the kingdom of heaven, bring us to reign with him in glory. Amen.

Let us bless the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
